RustyShackleford
I built this simple mount for attaching my Sirius radio to my cubby. First, I found a scrap piece of aluminum lying around, about 1/16" thick. I shaped the end to fit snugly into the cubby, up against the side wall closer to the driver. Then I bent it. Then I drilled 4 holes in the AMPS-style pattern used by Sirius radios. Then I painmted it black, first using a special primer (you can't just paint aluminum directly). The fit was snug enough to hold my Stratus 4 (very light). But I used some velcro to hold it against the side of the cubby. Or you could glue it. The mount is removable, still allows access to the cubby (for holding knick-knacks), and is free (if you have basic tools and an appropriate metal scrap lying around). I still need to use some sort of cable tie to neaten up the wires ...

RustyShackleford
well done, usefull.... but not very cute ! Speak for yourself ! I think it is, except for all the stray wires - I need a plan for those.
nka
Didn't want to be rude... I'm not the kind of guys who think cute, so it's perfect for me. I would prefer to have a rally car dash with all options than a cute OEM with less options. but well... resell value
