BoozeRS05 Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 If you are serious about getting more power out of the 2.5i, I'd recommend engine management, equal length header & intake for a nice little bump in mid/top end power (similar to the green graph below). Add on a catback exhaust and a lightweight pulley you'll get a little more. All done for under $1k if buying used parts & installed by you.. About $2k in mods and it handled like a go-kart, but I traded up for power. That said, if I could go back I would have suffered through the RS, and swapped it when payed off.. I thought this was an option for the 2.5i as well, but Rallitek added a little something to their product description very recently. "RalliTEK PerfectPower6, available for all non-turbo Subaru vehicles made before 2004." The whole "pre-2004" was just added in there, don't know when. I wouldn't even bother with trying to gain power with it, just focus on the suspension, get some nice wheels on there and add a little tint to the windows and call it done PS.
