JohnnyGT08
I've thought about it too, but I can't think of a good place to mount the horns...what do you have in mind? Stang70Fastback
I wanted those train horns, but I didn't want to deal with an air compressor and stuff... or the price for a really good one, and I already had a carputer. So instead I installed three 5" and one 12" PA speakers under the car (two in the front bumper, one facing out the grille, and the giant one in the engine bay itself pointed down) and hooked that up the the carputer via a 200W amp. It's PLENTY loud, lol. Like hurts your hears at close proximity deafening. Plust I can play any noises I want, be it a train horn, a musical horn, the sound of crashing glass or a BOV, or air brakes, etc... It's loads of fun. Fun to do the sound of a jet engine starting up and have people looking at my car like WTF?!?!

I'm soooo getting a train horn or doing this setup when I got the time/money. I've always wanted one, even when I had my truck.

Stang70Fastback
I can think of lots of places for them. I mean, I fit a 12" wide PA speaker in the engine compartment with plenty of room to spare...
1-3-2-4
What did you order? Air Chime K5LA? Now those are some SERIOUS horns nothing sounds clearer or louder on a train. man they need at least 125 psi just to sound right...
sliCCriC
hornblasters.com ...... its the 1.5 gallon conductors special .... it was around $425-ish after taxes and shipping.
frkkevin
easy to mount the horns if you have a shortram.. for me i'd put the tank where my tmic went.. horns would fire down on the pass side where the oem intake box/silencer was.. i think there is PLENTY of room there for the 3 horn setup.. still this is tempting me 512whp/465ftlb 2005 5EAT Legacy (Build Log) Videos - -
