jxjjang
i recently purchased an uncut tribeca key (key fob and key in one) from a member here but i didn't receive it in the little plastic subaru baggie. after cutting the key and programming the immobilizer chip, the dealership said that they needed the code on the baggie to program the fob to lock/unlock the doors. i asked them if there was any way around it because the seller threw it out (he claims that his dealership didnt need the code on the baggie to program it). so now i'm stuck with a cut tribeca key that works on my car, but i cant used the fob. is this true that there's absolutely no way to program the fob without the code on the baggie? i feel like that's a bit careless on subaru's part. CapnJack
The number from the bag "should" also be on the inside of the fab if you take it apart like you are changing the battery.

CapnJack
I confirmed it the other day but forgot to post it. In the remote I took apart, the number was inside on a little sticker.
