Well, I cannot for the life of me decide what wheels to buy for my BE. I probably wont be putting anything on until late March / early April, but if I buy now I wont be able to spend money on other things I don't need ;)

 

It's dark, dark blue, so I'm thinking gold would look best followed by silver or grey at a close second.

 

I'm looking for something either 17" or 18". I think 17 is probably better since tires are a little cheaper and 18's may look a little big on a 3rd gen. However, 18" Tarmac III's looked absolutely stunning on another members car, so it's not out of the question entirely.

 

Width should be 7 to 8 inches. Ideally, I'd like to run 235/40-17 Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs, but I'd settle for something a little smaller if I had to.

 

I've pretty much narrowed it down to STi BBS's, Prodrive P1's, JDM Legacy B4 wheels, or Tarmac II's (aka P1 knockoffs .5" wider) but I'll gladly take any other wheels into consideration if someone has other ideas.

Thanks everyone for the opinions so far. Let's keep the votes coming!

 

So far every single one of the forums I've posted this poll on have thought the B4 wheels were the best. They're beautiful wheels and quite rare in the U.S., I think they'd look pretty good on my car too.

 

The only reason I'm a little hesitant about getting them is that they're only 7" wide and there's no way a 235 wont bulge on that - even a 225 is pushing it. I'd likely have to stick to a 215/45, which isn't bad, but not ideal for the summer.

 

STi BBS's on the other hand...wider, forged, extremely light and oh my god do they look good on BE's. They'll also hold their value exceptionally well with the entire Subaru crowd. It's too bad they cost two arms and a leg even with used tires though.

 

Still deciding...:)

Sorry guys...it's a negative on the UK17's. Not wide enough :lol: Not only that, but the set I was looking at just sold. Oh well.

 

So I had an idea of Rota Torque's 17x8 et48 in either gold or silver. Any opinions? They'd fit a 235/40 perfectly, and this RE-01R closeout sale is making me very eager.

 

Oh yeah, and a set of STi BBS just sold locally for $500. Yeah, I was pissed. :mad:
