biz77
It will vary how the number is arrived at between tuners/shops, but as suggested you can plan to spend ~ $300-$400 for a basic stage II tune. Some shops charge a flat fee for a stage II tune. Some charge a straight hourly rate and some charge $XXX for the first hour (minimum charge) and $XXX every hour thereafter in increments of 1/2 hour. It will usually take ~2 hours (for standard stage II) to get the car set-up on the dyno, get a baseline, flash a base map and tweak from there. Stage II is bread and butter for most tuners. mikeislord
I was quoted 400 bucks for a dyno tune followed up by a street tune to tweak it.

Infamous1 is a vendor on this forum. Right now he is offering e-tunes for $100 (not the same as a dyno tune, but from the stories I've been reading he's pretty good and the results are very similar). Let me find the post.... http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103997 There ya go... Good luck. If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off. PaulFWMotorsports
please elaborate! What is an "Infamous1 tune"? I am completely suprised that I am facing $300-400 for a dynotune!!! Surprised in what way? Dynos cost at least $50k, tuner's time, experience, etc all factor into cost. Shops I deal with offer flat rate/ menu pricing; stage 2 + $xxx, add headers = $xxx, etc. Quality costs money.
scoobydoobie
I plan on going to Mach V for a protune eventually as its the closest subie tuner shop to me (about 2 hrs away). They charge a flat rate of $500 as well for a protune.
