Walt
Thought I'd share. Sanded with 600 grit, black primer, black with acrylic, clearcoat. Velcro taped it to dash. I sprayed it black because I didn't want it to stand out. The last two pictures are from the outside looking in through the tinted window while blocking the sun. You can see it if you know what to look for. Otherwise, at a glance from a few feet away you can not see in due to reflection/tint.

suzysube
I like how you painted it. Looks cool and unique. This is how I mounted mine, but not nearly as hidden.http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i120/suzysube/car2009006.jpg

dudeondacouch
It's a "Mobile Grab-it" or some such name. Got it at Best Buy in the car audio section.
Ssej
Do you guys leave it connected all the time? I find when I leave it connected, I always kick the OBD II adapter getting in and out of the car with my big feet =(
dudeondacouch
I leave the dongle connected. I also leave the AP in the mount... when the car is in the garage.
fishbone
Thread revival. Want to hook up an on/off switch on the USB cable to cut power to the AP when needed. Any ideas? Looked online, nobody seems to sell one. Anybody have this done?
dudeondacouch
never heard of such a thing, but there might be a USB switcher for printers that would work.
fishbone
Well, re-thinking of the price of the device involved, I might stick to unplugging it rather than risking screwing it up with a flaky on/off switch install.
Boostin1657615274
I personally opted for probably the most expensive route, but it sure is clean. fishbone
Old thread, I realize, but I was going through some of my pics and thought I'd post the mount I found at Walmart. It's great and sturdy, fits the AP like a glove and even has a small side holder for the cable when not in use.

POWERPRO
Anyone have any new additions for this thread? Looking to mount my V3 and could use some inspiration... Search "magnetic air vent" on amazon, works pretty well with the already magnetic V3. Positions well on the left or right side vents and I use it with my cell as well when not carrying the AP.
