cman7
you guys drove through a mud puddle I'm not sure I'll ever admit my Subaru is better at mudding than a truck or SUV. They simply have more clearance over a car. Unless of course you're in a cornfield of somesort where clearance doesn't matter all that much. The s10 must have been 2wd to get stuck in that puddle. mwiener2
I've had teh outback in water up past the bottom of the door My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
cman7
I've had teh outback in water up past the bottom of the door I'd be afraid of hydro locking the engine or getting mud in my interior.
Grimace
the puddle was 16in deep. i put it in first gear and powered right though it. the s10 tried being a smart ass and put it in 2wd and got stuck then put it in 4wd drive and was still stuck in solid mud later on the trail. He ended up winching himself out. then i went through the mud no problem. And of course i washed the car after i was done gloating!!!
cman7
^ bingo. Looks like driver error to me! When I had my old explorer it was coated from the wheels to the roof in mud. I never really washed the thing though. I miss having a vehicle I don't care about. I never had any respect for it either. I can say I wash all other car's I've owned since they're worthy.... skibob6
No offense to anybody and especially not grimace but i was not in water i was in close to 4 inches of thick sticky mud. thats why my legy was mostly clean, and i would never put my car through anything over about 6 inches of water because if i wanted to do that i would buy a truck... OR A BAJA!!!!

Grimace
Good call. Limited's are hard to come by. Are u talking about the SUS???
Bdubs
The SUS is probably harder to find too. Only offered in the NE states in 97, and 98/99 were offered nationally, but there weren't many produced.
