Gmoe
Anyone know how difficult it would be to replace the carpet on your own? I'd really like to change my carpet to black. Found the part here and it's not overly expensive. No idea the work involved or what it takes to replace it though.
meier motor sports
its pretty easy. remove the seats, lower trim pieces and center consul. and then pull up the carpet and replace it
GTTuner
Just be careful how you route the seat wire harness on reassembly. If you run it behind the large seat reinforcement the wires will rip out when you slide the seat rearward. Don't ask how I know:rolleyes:
Gmoe
^Thanks. Seriously considering this for a Spring project. For the price if I can realistically do it myself it's a no-brainer. Black carpet would actually look pretty nice with the taupe/black interior Also would keep my carpet from looking all stained and shitty in the winter months. Any gotchas pulling the seats? Any concerns for airbag sensors etc.? What about where the carpet tucks under the rocker panel area molding etc.? That crazy to get out or anything? I'm handy, but no mechanic if things go awry, so keep that in mind.
