lisn2me2
what are some of the lightest possible 17 that can still use the stock re 92s and withstand NY everyday driving?
Xenonk
wow.. for NY or NYC?? for the rest of NY = SSR Competitions (forged) in 17"x7.5" = 12.5 to 12.9 lbs for NYC = any rim heavier than stock in cast form (21 lbs+) My suggestion is to run a set of 225/45/17 tires or 235/45/17 tires on a 17"x7.5" wheel in NY. The taller sidewall will help you save your rims from bending. Keefe Keefe
Jaxx
at least get a superlegger so that when you bend it OZ will replace it (for life) at 14lbs
Val
Agree, either SSR Comp ($369) or OZ Superleggera (apr. $280) at Tirerack
PGT
SSR is in financial trouble....not sure how they will back their products or whether they will be aroudn to offer replacements wheels if you bend one. I would go for OZ's. I have 18" Prodrive P1's and drive in DC quite often - they are certainly not light, but I don't have to worry about them either. sduford
at least get a superlegger so that when you bend it OZ will replace it (for life) at 14lbs Does OZ really provide a replacement warranty? Wow, I like that! I was going to buy some cheap wheels (Rotas) for my OBXT because I expect to be pretty tough on them, but this would make it worth paying more for the Superleggera!
