Madjik_Man
Went cheap with the wheels so I wouldn't freak about road grime, Mag-Chloride and brake dust getting all over them. Also didn't size down. MB Boost 17x7 5-100 48 (Gun Metal - looks more like light gray in person) http://www.discounttire.com/product/wheels/mbmboo.gm.ang.jpg For tires I went with Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds (205/50R-17 93V) All said, out the door with warranties and all: $1150+ Hoping for an all around great set up on both Wintry mountain passes and dry flatland roads. TSiWRX
The 3Ds are a very nice compromise. With the 205s, at 50-aspect ratio, you'll have a better footprint for cutting through the wintry stuff, as well as decent sidewall for rim protection. I'm using the 3Ds at 225/45/17, and although I really like their dry-road performance, I do wish I went down to either 205 or 215, for more sure-footed traction through wintry-precip. Alas, when I bought my set, neither a 205 or 215 fitment was available. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

Madjik_Man
Thanks everyone. Of course the day after they're on the car it's 60 degrees here. Didn't do any driving. The wheels look a lot better on the car than they do here. As soon as I download the pictures - believe me, nothing special - I'll post them. TSiWRX
^ Our weather has been crazy, too. I think we also tipped over 60 degrees the other day. It was nice, as we finally got a chance to take Anna to go see the local outdoor (pedestrian) Christmas Lights display. There's a little snow forecast for tomorrow. Finally, back to normal. The Boosts, IIRC, were on one of my fellow Buckeye-State old-schooler's OBP LGT, and looked great. They're a quality wheel, too. I thought about getting them, paired with Hankook IceBear W300s, when I got mine, but sister AKLGT posted a pic of her then ABP sedan with the ASAs, and I was hooked. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
Madjik_Man
like I said, it's essentially a point and shoot digi camera, my car wasn't washed and it's in my driveway in a very amateurish photoshoot. oh, and I have rusty rotors (that's what she said) sorry for such large pictures... apparently the attachment feature doesn't like me http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h218/madjik_man/P1040218.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h218/madjik_man/P1040219.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h218/madjik_man/P1040257.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h218/madjik_man/P1040270.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h218/madjik_man/P1040275.jpg
062.5iwagon
I have the exact same car, but not that winter setup. Very nice.
NSFW
I was really interested in these for a while.... if they had these in 17x7.5/48 I probably would have gotten them for summer wheels. I really like the way the spokes extend all the way to the edge of the rim, it makes them look bigger than they are.
