snowboarder_lgt
I have a 98 LGT and the window tint on the drivers window keeps peeling up in the front corner after i roll the window down a few times. Has this happened to anyone else? Im not sure what i should do.
leggtnut
I would recommend finding a good tint shop. Subarus have not come with tint from the factory (as best to my recalection) and it is likely aftermarket Tint. snowboarder_lgt
I had the tint professionally done, it has a lifetime warranty, and they thought after it peeled up the first time they just needed to start the tint lower in the door panel but it didnt work, I even waited 2 weeks to roll my window down. Trying to figure out what could be the problem and if its happened to anyone else. Thanks.
scoobydoobie
happened on my 99 forester in the same location (drivers side front corner), but not on any of the other windows. Can't figure it out either.
dudeondacouch
is there a heat vent aimed at that area?
snowboarder_lgt
Ya, so far so good on the other windows. I will probably take apart the door and check it out. What would a heat vent do to hurt the tint?
dudeondacouch
It could have dried it out too quickly in that area during the curing process. (I'm not a tinter though, so I don't know if that would be bad. I'm just tossing out ideas.)
snowboarder_lgt
I figured out the problem, if anyone else has this problem: There is a small square piece of rubber that comes out at the bottom from corner. It is VERY tight and makes the tint peal up. The door panel was removed. Was thinking about cutting this piece out but the tinter just put the tint underneath it and way further down the door jam than it previously was. I will try to add a photo of the piece later.
