LGTfoLIFE
When I am idling and try to turn my wheel the steering wheel shakes and jerks back and forth I hear a squicking noise outside the car while im trying to turn my wheel I would have to use two hands to turn it and it feels like the power steering dont work. This only happens when my car is not moving. When I drive the car it runs fine no shaking or noise and it turns smoothly. Has anyone had this problem or know what this is? any help or suggestion would be great.

LGTfoLIFE
The belt could have something to do with the steering? What I also notice when I was leaving the house this morning when I turned my wheel the battery light turned on and when I stop turning it turned back off any reason for that? ohh I got 104,000+miles if that helps. Bdubs
If the belt has never been replaced, then it is probably time for a new one. The power steering pump and alternator run off the same belt, so if it isn't tensioned correctly, it is slipping or has too much play, and causing your problems.
