benjaminetanyahoo
I see everybody going for the JDM parts, but I was wondering why we can't bring over those same parts from Europe or even Australilia? This just got me thinking of the possibly of getting cheaper prices because of the exchange rate. Hopefully somebody can explain it. bluesuby
Last time I checked, the dollar was gaining ground on the yen and losing ground to the euro. If Japanese sourced parts are more expensive than European, it's probably the markup.
Rommel
I think most of the performance parts comes from Japan, except for Whiteline and Scoobysport.
benjaminetanyahoo
So if I have a contact over in Germany and they contact a local Subaru dealership to get Spec B bumpers you think they would be cheaper than working with a reseller getting them from Japan? I just trying to think logically here I don't know. That still doesn't rule out Australia and no language barrier, well maybe with the Crocodile Dundee
Rommel
Well if you have a contact outside the US that would be good. Most of the vendors that we have deals with manufacturers in Japan thats why most of them get the parts from Japan. If you have a contact in Australia you could probably get performance parts from Whiteline. But if you want STi parts I guess you have to go to Japan.
