Need to replace waterpump, did anyone ever done it themselves?

If so, please advise of the procedure, how hard is it and time frame.

Also if someone has replaced it with their mechanic what was the cost?

THx

It's not super hard, does take some time, but a lot cheaper than going to the shop. Basic process would be (def read manual 1st), pull fans / shroud, belts, timing cover, i forget what else.

Replace the cam/timing belt while your at it, also get some new idlers and tensioners.

Oh, and a word of warning. The cambelt cover bolts are VERY similar to the water pump bolts. They fit, but are slightly longer, and will snap off in your block if you try use them for the water pump.

not a fun situation, luckily my engine was in my other legacy's boot (trunk?) when i did it, so just drove up to my mechanic who got it out in a few mins.
