oddseth
Great find. This is definitely a good sign since if Subaru can continue to increase market presence and sales, they will have both more money for R&D and confidence that niche models will sell better in the states. oddseth
^+1Â I can see my driveway in 10 years with a merc e-class for the wife and kids, a Porsche GT3 for the track, and a legacy gt (or hopefully sti) for spirited daily driving! Guest heightsgtltd
Interesting article and glad to hear it. I am surprised that people are responding to those "love" ads, and I would like to see the proof that they are actually working. meanwhile, the marketing VP initially says that you need to appeal to emotional side of consumers and at the end says "Subaru buyers tend to be sensible and practical"
Amoxi
Foresters are cannibalizing Outback sales, but sedan sales are up quite a bit. Not enough to offset what Forester is taking though.

The Forester? Ew, I don't know what the rest of you think, but I think the Forester is ugly as sin. Not that I am planning on buying a new car any time soon, I am quite happy with my '96 legacy. fishbone
Subaru owners love their vehicles and that leads to advocacy. Still, the company wasn't spreading the love far beyond that circle, which led the company to try its current advertising approach. One word.
