MajorWood Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 I had to do a panic stop with these the other night and they were nothing but great. A homeless guy with one of those push-walkers was crossing a major 4+1 surface street at night, in a light drizzle, wearing dark clothing. The only warning I had was the car next to and in front of me putting on his brakes (for no reason that I could see) until the guy appeared in my lane out from where the other car had blocked my view of him. We went from 40 to zero right now! Stopped with about a foot of clearance, and with the low hood of the 07, probably would have cut him in half at speed. I'd still be doing paperwork if the car hadn't stopped. I keep a couple of 15-minute flares in the door pocket, and I have since moved the ice scraper there as well in case I need to do a quick removal of the "I am the Stig" decal from the back window.
