m4dm4x
Hi Everyone, Just noticed that the Ford GT supercar has the sames stereo as the 2003-2006 Subaru Legacy. http://images.streetfire.net/photos/0001/25/47/1065274.jpg It is a Mcintosh 6 disc unit just like in the Spec B Models. Thought it was interesting.

liljay794
My dad has a Ford GT and I have an 05 LGT, not a Spec B. though. I don't think they're the same because the one in the Ford isn't a 6 CD changer.

whobaru
I'd give my right nut for the Mcintosh system.
Brady
^ It's official. That's the dumbest thing I've heard on this site yet! The McIntosh system doesn't sound that amazing. You can do better with a Cleansweep and aftermarket components.

Brady
Seriously, they had the McIntosh sound system in the '02 Outback VDC Sedan ... it wasn't special. Now, a left pinky finger MIGHT be worth the system ... but either nut is just too much.
whobaru
One nut is easily expendable when you're as dissatisfied with the existing options as I am.

liljay794
Yeah the McIntosh sounds pretty good, but its nothing amazing. You can't really hear the crispness of the music and the clear tones since the car is mad loud. Once you bump it up, it sounds pretty sick especially with the bass tube next to your head lol. m4dm4x
Yeah it's pretty good (you could do equally well with a decent panasonic). The speakers that come with it are good (the subwoofer makes the bass so much better.) And for a car to come with that from factory is pretty good. Also with the Mcintosh one it's much easier to swap out the head unit (other ones you have to take out the air con etc aswell). However I have had to replace the Mcintosh headunit once due to a skip error, luckily one was for sale.
