abacuz
This is kind of old ( july 21) but could not find it on the forums. Interesting the man survived, anyone knows more info on this ? http://www.katu.com/news/25726024.html http://media.katu.com/images/080721_marineax_subaru_470.jpg http://media.katu.com/images/080721_marineax_cab_470.jpg
fatbastard
Wow...haven't seen or heard anything about this one but that is pretty encouraging...While teh front end is completely destroyed the passenger compartment seems relatively intact and it appears as if both front doors were operational. Stang70Fastback
I dunno if this is actually the case, but it almost looks as if they didn't have too much trouble opening the door normally...
ShrinerMonkey
They mis-identified the car as a Subaru Legacy. I think I see damage where the jaws of life were used to open the driver's door.

Guest
The Outback ride height probably helped. That's the advantage of higher riding vehicles like SUVs in these types of collisions with mismatched vehicles. I am afraid a Legacy, particularly a lowered one, would end up under the rig

Soda Popinski
"A man driving the Subaru was taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries" I wouldn't exactly call that encouraging..... I'd rather be alive and hurt than smooshed under the rig and decapitated. Atleast he has a fighting chance. *dibs on the roof rack
mwiener2
i'd rather be dead than in a hospital bed teh rest of my life My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
abacuz
the fact that he is alive and not dead have a million of posibilities and chances. If there was family in the back seat they would be alive, that is what is important to me. Imagine if this was a kia, honda, toyota , small ford , im afraid i could not say the same.
