mufflers restrict.... plain and simple.

correct me if i'm wrong, but if you're worried about losing back pressure, then couldn't you just stick w/ smaller piping? thats what a muffler shop told me when i went with straight pipes..... but it was just too damn loud for my taste.... that and it backfired anywhere from 1k-redline. hahaha it was tooo easy to make it backfire.

drove me nuts after a while.. so i had them put some fartcans and a new 18" glasspack resonator to tone it down a bit and make the drive a bit more enjoyable rather than painful on the ears..

-- yay for the sig! --

my garage!

Resonators...factory next to aftermarket:

You might confuse some people. Most refer to piece on the catback as the resonator, which serves the same purpose as the mufflers on the axleback.

I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.:p
