Metal2You Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 So, rumor has it that sudden changes in the AVCS may contribute to the "stutter." I've wondered if an EWG would reduce or eliminate stutter. Infamous1 Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 None of the above would have an effect on stutter besides the AVCS mapping IMO. Everything else you mention has to do with boost control. Deer Killer Posted July 13, 2008 Share Posted July 13, 2008 imho reducing timing in areas of stutter helps. The STI runs much higher timing in low load/rpm areas.. The car does _not_ like it if you use those values, and it's not knock either. I have a bit of stutter at low speeds and light throttle in 2nd gear, but I keep the timing high for fuel economy.
