GULLABLE0NE
i know how to remove the badges. my question is what to take off. i have a LGT and the rear-end looks really crowded. "Subaru" on the left doesn't bother me but the rightside say"legacy gt limited" and it looks very cluttered. i can't decide what i should take off or if i should take off everything. i was curious of what some of you have done and what it looks like? ih8vtec13
just keep the subaru logo up to and kiil the rest. I did L7 in place of the stock subaru and a decepticon logo in the lower right side of the trunk

evak
I just left the "GT" badge on, which seems to be popular here...Now that the letters have been thrown away, I should have moved the L to get "LGT".

RaGe
if you want to get rid of the " GT " emblem, let me know. OTM. Sorry I didn't mean to start a war which mainly forum people is all about .
GULLABLE0NE
i just searched google and still cant find any sites that sell these badges ( " i " or L7). where can i find these. i also want to tint the tail lights. i think that will finish up the rear nicely with some debadging or rebadging. THE "i" stands for Impreza no clue why it was even in the early Legacy catalog. The L7 is a JDM Legacy badge that was on the turbo Legacys from 00-04. there are pics in this thread and they are sold out from him but you can probably find them still. I still have one I may put back on http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11609&page=6&pp=
GULLABLE0NE
i think i like the stock subie emblem looks better. maybe i will just paint the dark blue part to black or to match the body paint. i still don't know what to do with the badges though. ih8vtec13
you can actually pop the badge out of the badge holder and use fine sand paper to take off the paint. Don't go into the stars and you can paint it any color you want.

Mitch
Back-up lights are an overlay from Hotsubaru in Dallas. the Tails I sprayed in various coats with VHT Nite-shades. As most people will attest to, the overlays on a wagon are a bitch. If I'm going faster than you, Move Right.
GULLABLE0NE
to spray night shade do you have to remove the light assembly?
Mitch
I did. These are Screate LED tails. so I sprayed them in my garage. It's very easy to remove the lights. VERY EASY. If I'm going faster than you, Move Right.
GULLABLE0NE
other than removing the light assembly, what other prepping did you do before spraying?
Mitch
I lightly sanded the whole thing. Then I masked off the Tail/brake/turn/reflector and sprayed about 5 or 6 coats. Then I removed the masking and sprayed 3 or 4 more coats over everything. And then I sprayed another 5 or 6 coats of clear. Voila! http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj305/Mitch_9_23_60/DSC00292.jpg http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj305/Mitch_9_23_60/DSC00291.jpg http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj305/Mitch_9_23_60/DSC00295.jpg http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj305/Mitch_9_23_60/DSC00320.jpg If I'm going faster than you, Move Right.
