Ive had this little amp laying around for years.. never installed or powered up... I was thinking about installing this under the front seat to power my 2 front speakers. Im also installing a sub, so was gonna do both at the same time. Specs are 100x1 (50x2) - 26 WRMS x 2. Either to power my stockers for awhile or thinking about picking up some polks for my front doors.

26 WRMS doesnt seem like its worth it, though id be getting the wiring done for an upgrade down the road. Im guessing our stock radio isnt putting out that much power per channel, and it should be "cleaner". I figure it cant be a downgrade, right?

It will not be worth it to power to the speakers, btw....

The only type of speaker that amp might be good would either be a set of tweeters or bridged to a 8 inch mid. Even then, it would require some serious tuning.....

Im gonna install my zx600ti first and if I have time put this in also... if it sounds like crap, ill pull it out and atleast have the wiring done for dropping in a better 2 or 4 channel amp when I get some extra cash.. which would be never. :)

I hear ya, audio is expensive..

I was so pissed when I had to sell all my audio equipment to afford my IPT transmission. I will eventually start building again. I am definitely tired of this craptastic stock stereo.

26x2 RMS is really close to what most stock head units put out ( aftermarket ones are usually 18-22w RMS ). For the work it would take to install, I'd just get a real amp.

For a good set of components, you'll probably wnat something like 50-75x2

Got my hands on one of these bad mama-jammas yesterday. HiFonics Juno Series 8, 4 channel amp.

Specs say 22wX4 @ 4 ohm or 44wX4 @ 2 ohm... From what I hear the 2 ohm figure is what the 4 ohm figure is around.. and might be higher.. closer to 60 wrms x 4 @ 4 ohm.

Now I got one question... when they say its 4 ohm stable or 2 ohm stable... thats not the total ohm'age of all 4 speakers right? It means it can handle a 2 or 4 ohm speaker per channel correct?

So if I want I can buy either 2 sets of 4 ohm speakers or 2 sets of 2 ohm speakers and everything would be fine?

Thanks!
