5th Annual NorCal Meet & Drive* May 25, 2008

Since no one has posted this here yet. Thought I might do it. It was a blast last year.

Meet at: Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Rd., Santa Rosa, CA 95403

Time: TBA

 

The Drive:

We will enjoy a pleasant, scenic cruise through some of Northern California's most well-known wine regions. We will take a few breaks at previously selected wineries for tasting and light snacks. Additional tasting fees for the various wineries will apply and are not included in the pre-registration fee. If this group winds up with more than 20 or so people, we will split into 2 subgroups, so as not to overwhelm the wineries kind enough to host us.

 

The Meet:

In the afternoon we will have a hosted BBQ at Warm Springs Recreation Area at Lake Sonoma. The Warm Springs Recreation Area has picnic tables, BBQ pits, volleyball courts, and a children's playground.

 

Pre-registration is required to reserve your spot. The cost is $12/person to help offset expenses for food, drinks, and the park fee - payable by Paypal or check (contact me for info on the latter option).

For those of you who would like to make a weekend out of this, there is camping available nearby:

Liberty Glen Campground: offers primitive drive-in camping (no water or electrical hook-ups) only a mile or two from our picnic site. Information and Campground Map

Cloverdale KOA: has tent and RV camping as well as cabins and lodges. Other amenities include wireless internet, pool/spa, basketball courts, mini-golf, playgrounds, and a fishing pond.
