CodyItaliano
my subaru is soon to be out of the shop. its an '05 LGT with Cobb stage 2 tuing. it will have brand new OEM subaru clutch and flywheel. my question is what should i do to break it in correctly, to prolong the life in the long run? i would think, dont drive it for extended periods at high speeds, like on the freeway. dont dump the clutch. but being that it does have more power than a stock programed engine, i dont know how i shold treat it. for example, how much slippage should i allow in first gear? i really just dont want to need a new clutch again for some time. i dont know if i'm worring too much or if this is a good thing to think about. Beanboy
Doesn't matter what you do when the clutch is fully engaged. Lots of urban driving will help the clutch break in sooner. Obviously, don't launch hard or slip the clutch at all for roughly 500 miles give or take. Anything over a couple of seconds would be considered slipping. -B http://www.standardshift.com

qikslvr
Just give it at least 500 miles before you start driving it hard. Try not to spin it up off the line, slam gears or launch it. Other than that you should be good. Let's kick this pig!
