I'd move to Japan & get one but the TCO (total cost of ownership) with a car there will break your balls. The Japanese have a saying called 'ai-sha" the two kanji characters translating to 'beloved' & 'car' , also "mai-ka-", which is their script for "My Car", both indicating the extreme pride of ownership -- bordering on partnership -- that car owners exhibit in Japan. Between that and the next Forester looking like it's slushbox-only for the XT, I'm probably going to be an Audi or BMW wagon owner in 3-5 years.
