February 2005 Club Legacy Magazine

Recommended Posts

My girlfriend just got back from Japan, and brought me the new "CLUB LEGACY" Magazine.

I just finished reading it..and my god..the after market for this car there is staggering..

There was a whole section on just "ECU" upgrades..

I need to read it again and make a nice little shopping list.

Here are some choice scans from the book..

Oh heck yeah... it's a 150 page book with 41 NEW products for the Legacy. More than I can scan and put on here. There are a ton of new exaust products. Plus, I like the new "Silent Power" movement in Japan. Haveing high flow exausts with lots of power and less noise. So you can have have the benifit of a freer flowing exhaust w/o the droaning noise.

Im told that in Japan the Legacy Turbo is THE car. The preception is far different in Japan of Subaru in general and the Legacy in particular. In their market it is one of the most popular hi-po cars to mod. I would suspect that the low volumn in our market is a reason for a shortage of aftermarket parts too.

Well, for Subaru in general, the Legacy is it's top selling car in ALL of thier markets. I am also including the Outback, Baha, and Legacy wagon because they are all built on the same chasis.

It's just some markets are easier to cator too for Subaru pefromance wise then the U.S..due to safety guidlines and emissions all all that other fun stuff.. That's why we get a 2.5 liter engine instead of the 2.0..

Plus and minus alot of other things to to keep the accounting bean counters happy.

But, the U.S has never realy been a tested market for a "Performance" Legacy..and I think we will eventuly show them they have made a grave over sight.
