Jonny Bradtmueller
Just wondering on the fit and feel of the STi titanium piston shift knob. Does anyone have one ? I have heard different people say when it's hot outside the shift knob is hot and when it's cold outside the shift knob is really cold is this true? If someone has one how long is it? and will it fit the STi short shifter? I have been told that the shifter boot doesn't pull all the way up like the stock Legacy GT shift knob does. It this true? Thanks for the info.
liquidiq
http://imagehost.peanutbuttermonkeyball.com/LGTinside.jpg yea, it's metal, it's going to be a little more reactive to weather
Jonny Bradtmueller
Is this on your personal car? Can you measure the shift knob and let me know how long it is? How long have you been using it and how does it feel? Thanks for the info. The sales person at the dealership owes me a favor and we have talked about them getting this shift knob for me. liquidiq
Umm, I guess I can measure it. It's shorter than the stock knob, that I know. It feels fine, I've been using it for over a year, as I had it on my WRX. I like it a lot, a more "sporty" feel than the "luxury" stock one. PGT
We had this on the WRX. Took it off immediately and bought an aftermarket MOMO Race Air. The piston knob is way too small and you must grip it from the side, not the top. At least with a round knob, you can choose the most comfortable position. BTW - I have not gotten much response to emails I sent trying to set up the GB on the UK Solberg/WR knob. Let me know if you want the details to order it directly.....guess theys guys don't want to do a mass order like they said.
