Sti Recaros?

My dealership let me take a a new 08 STi out fr the day. We were having a meet at a local tuner (Agile, FallstonMd) and I told them it would be good exsposure fr the new car;)

And yes,,the seats ain't much compared to my 04 STi seats or my version7 JDM seats.

I haven't ridden in the new 08 STI, but that's exactly what I'm getting. white on gold. I didn't mind them when I sat in them, but then I don't find my LGT seats or the 07 STI seats to be anything remotely comfortable.

Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!

Since some markets actually have the Recaro seats in them even for the '08 I'll suggest that anybody (or maybe everybody :) ) visits a dealer, test drives a STI and then comes back and says, "Well, the seats are shit, I want some good Recaros instead."

Probably someone complained about the old seats being uncomfortable or something - but in that case they shouldn't have had an STI in the first place...

This is the standard in the Swedish STI:

I haven't tried that yet, but I liked the older style in the US model. It was like being seated in a glove - tightly fixed in place (but not too tight) and good feedback from the vehicle. (I have a friend outside Boston whose wife has a STI.)

Recaros are standard on the AUS 08 Spec R STI and they are very nice indeed.

Those Look like the seats in my old RSX. Lol they weren't anything great either but id expect more out of the sti specifically at the price dealers are asking.

Looks aren't everything - it's also about how well it is shaped and the stiffness of the seat.

Your seat has a slight similarity to the AUS Recaro, but the hip support seems to be weaker (more for comfort).

And it's not how a seat looks that's important - it's how it feels when you are seated. If it looks good it's just a bonus.
