sportwagon Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hey, I thought I would post up some information I gathered today. I've searched all over the place yesterday (here, nasioc, web) and I still couldn't find face diameter measurements of center caps anywhere. So, I walked all the way out to my car! Now, after measuring today... Here are the diameter measurements of the various center caps for the different rims that I have... STOCK LGT 2005 17" Rims: Metal Center Cap (Aluminum probably) with indented "Subaru" logo Outer (Face) Diameter ~ 2 6/10" or ~ 59-60mm* *Note: This diameter was measured while the center cap was mounted on a Prodrive P7 Rim; and while it was covered with an STi sticker; and while I was wearing an eye patch on one eye; and while I was temporarily blinded by the sunlight shining in my other eye; and while I was moderately intoxicated; and while I had a slight case of pink eye; and it happened to be during the hour that my glasses were at Lens Crafters... But, I am fairly sure that this is fairly close to accurate... plus or minus an inch! http://i18.ebayimg.com/08/i/000/da/6c/ce90_1.JPG Prodrive P7 (not PFF7) 17" Rims: Mine were a black plastic with a silver or white "Prodrive Logo" Outer Face Diameter ~ 2 6/10" or ~ 59-60mm** **NOTE: I don't actually have the measurements of the Prodrive P7 center caps because I don't have them anymore, the above figures are from the Subaru Center Caps (2005 LGT) that I have inserted into the P7 rims... they actually, fit quite nicely... Slightly more inset than the P7 center caps would fit because the don't the same depth, but they do look nice. Oh, I covered up the blah "subaru" logos with faux CF/pink STi decals... which is why I was looking for all of these diameters in the first place. Anyway, The actual diameter of the P7 center caps isn't too relevant, these rims are somewhat uncommon now (actually discontinued now)... and for me personlly, I don't need the diameter measurement for them because I already have the Subaru (with bling bling stickers) mounted to the rims... BUT... If anybody reading this does need Center Caps for a P7 rims here is a link to some: PLTEK- According to this site (PLTEK is a great vendor by the way, I have had great experiences with Peter) Prodrive P1, P7 and PFF7 center caps are all interchangable! From the looks of it though, he is offering P1 center caps that will fit on all of those rims... http://www.rallysportdirect.com/forumimages/prodrive/Prodrive%207%20anthractite%20RS.jpg Prodrive P1 (PWRC1) 17" Rims: Mine are made of metal or a metalic plastic with a "Prodrive by OZ" logo. Outer Face Diameter ~ 2 3/10" or ~ 55mm*** ***Note: This diameter was measured directly on the cap while mounted to the P1 rim, but then I realized one of the caps still had the protective plastic layer on it, so I peeled that off and measured it to confirm the diameter! So, this measurement should be pretty accurate. http://www.pltek.net/products%20menu/wheels/ccap.jpg BBS RK 17" Rims: This center cap is black plastic with a carbon fibre face and a Silver "BBS" logo part # 0924281CFS Outer Face Diameter = 56mm Inner Diameter = 53mm BBS Style: A Need Replacements... sportwagon Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Well... The prodrive caps fit into the stock LGT rims... but I do not know who manufactures them... maybe BBS or Enkei... someone on this board should know the answer to that question though! But, for $8 a piece you can get prodrive caps that will fit into the LGT rims... put a sticker over the logo if you don't want to have the Prodrive logos showing!
amp27 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 how thick is the rim at the point that the cap snaps in. like the whole bolt pattern area?
