  1. I have a new (still in the bag) headlight pigtail I have leftover from my 06 LGT. I had a spare from when I had a short on the drivers side taking out low beams on a regular basis. I found the problem and it never came back, so I have a pigtail that I no longer need. Trying to sell, motivated no reasonable offer refused. PM me with questions.
  2. Thanks for the info, looking forward to learning if my LGT is on the list
  3. Hey ClimberD, if you have the time and are knowledgeable about 4EAT's I have a question about a problem my neice is haveing with her 98LGT.

The 4EAT won't shift out of first into higher gears, even after warming up and driving it around. It engages first and reverse positively, reverse more firmly and quickly.

After a partial fluid change and a fresh filter it worked properly for two days and then refused to shift again.

Any ideas that don't require large amounts of $$? The rest of the car is solid and we'd hate to junk it.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brian

  4. Hi Ryan,

I just got my first issue of GMS. Sorry to hear about the demise of SubieSport.

I appreciate you cutting a deal with GMS to fulfill your readers subscriptions, it's a quality magazine and full of fun tech and safety articles. Will you be a regular contributor? A regular Subie section would be a welcome addition and would get me to re-up my subscription.

Thanks for all the hard work and great articles.

    Regards,

    Brian

PS. Did Dreadnought get finished? The premise was bitchin', and I'd love to see the finished or in progress car.

  5. Howdy Folks, Here's my sad tire story; Got tired of OE tires lousy wet weather (read hydroplaning on dewy mornings) performance and the ease of which their sidewalls will shred when faced with New Jersey potholes. So, I upgraded to Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires after 35K miles and three sidewall failures, and several other punctures. I've never used a donut so many times or for so many accumulated miles on any car, or lifetime before this car. Sooooo...... 1.) Dunlop Sport Maxx 215x45x17 XL load rating from the Gods that are the Tire Rack for $125 each and a $50 rebate if you buy a set of four. So far only 200 miles, but the lateral grip in the dry is much better and I think the braking is better too. I have the braided stainless brake lines and I feel, without objective measures, that I can lean on the brakes harder without ABS intervention. 2.) Central Jersey Coastal area. 3.) So far just everyday suburban New Jersey combat driving. (If you live here you know what I mean.) 4.) 90% highway/local, 5% city. 5.) OE's that came on the 06 LGT. Bridgestone RE92's. Uggggh, what bleeping bleep. They were tolerable on my 98 LGT in 16 inch size, even in the rain, but on this car ohmyf*&%*#god they just s$%^! 6.) Please see comments #1 and #5. Thanks for letting me vent and have a nice day.
  6. Wow Ian, Thanks for going out on a limb for the rest of us! I'll be looking in on this thread to see how it goes. I was looking at an HU that just played MP3's, being able to add AuxIn and XM/Sirius would be a huge bonus. Maybe in the mean time I'll upgrade my door speakers.
