normally this is about the time members of the car in questions forums join ours and start spamming us with hate and nonsense like "I can smoke you with $40k on top of the sticker price in my car yoh! im pimpin in the yota!"

probablly wont happen here tho.. they dont know how to register, and they cant read the tiny font without their coke-bottles.

I did a report of this for my English Final; was about changing the brand perception of Subaru from "lesbos and old people" to that of a performance oriented brand through Motorsports, Aftermarket Parts, TV ads etc. Same thing when I hear Volvo I think shitty wagon, good saftey; in actuality they make a lot of very fast cars. I think a part of the reason Subaru owners tend to be older is because of affordability of the car and increased insurance premiums for turbo'd cars. My insurance is 4 digits.

People that associate sexuality or gender or whatever into a vehicle are pretty shallow human beings. Automakers might want to "target" specific demographics but there is no limitation to driving one car or another, we're all human.

Shallow or not, agreed with or not - makes zero difference in terms of what the reality is. That reality, in my area of the country and in my experience dozens of times, is that Subaru conjures up images of NA wagons of all types driven by North-East and North-West... how to say this delicately, short haired middle aged lesbians. This annoys me and is certainly not the only Subie demographic. It's just what I'm confronted with constantly by the ignorant masses

I've said it once and I'll say it again - "Stereotypes exist only because they are true." Stereotypes only become bad when they are used in poor context.

There's three cars which define Minneapolis: Subarus, Volvos, and Suburbans (i.e. Minnesota Cadillac). Therefore we're hardly unique. Almost daily I see OBs just like mine. Normally I'd give a friendly "wave" but because they're so common here, nobody pays attention - we blend with the landscape.

FYI - most people I know who drive OBs are 20s-30s men (self included) who live an outdoor lifestyle. But I do see a LOT of older people driving them around here. The one girl I know who drives an 04 OB Ltd pokes fun of it as her "Rainbow Wagon" - she's straight... and loves the car.

Hmmm.... so a Subaru Porn would be two short haired lesbians driving into the wilderness to cut down trees and in the same effort...they find love and use the excelent cargo room in the back of their Forester to test out the....

it will be like two Badgers mating

That's one **** of a commercial you are describing!
