02BlkRex
I'm tired of dealing with losing my presets and having the dealer say nothing is wrong so I'm in the market for a new battery. I've only noticed 3 batteries mentioned in various threads. Which one would you guys get and why? I want to stay around $100 and I am at Stage 2 with no aftermarket stereo system or plans to get one. CapnJack
I got the yellowtop and have been extremely happy with it. I have not lost my presets since I installed it and it's been below zero several days. The only reason I got the yellowtop was because it is a starting and deep cycle battery and I plan on installing a system. (That and my wife got it for me for my birthday, so I can't complain about the price) If you have no plans for a system, I would go with the redtop and save some $$$. porcupine73
I have the Odyessy Pc1500dt in two of my soobs (got them from summitracing.com) They work well so far. I was po'd at my yellow top which got a bad cell (the one under the - terminal) after only two years. http://www.porcupine73.com/pics/battery/odyssey1.jpg http://www.porcupine73.com/pics/battery/odyssey2.jpg http://www.porcupine73.com/pics/battery/optima1.jpg
DukeTrout
Odyssey or Braille. I'm having leakage issues with mine, and the dealership is not playing nice, so... It would be nice to spring for the Braille, but I'm thinking the Odyssey is more in my price range. Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt! porcupine73
I love my Odyssey's. The Braille is nice, but isn't that typically more for 'light weight' use? Not sure, just wondering.....
DukeTrout
Yeah, but it has the same concept as the Odyssey - light, sealed, high CCA, deep cycle capabilities. It's just lighter, and thus, more expensive. Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!
