firepyro515
i know that this must be someone around here, but i can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I'm looking for a new grill for an 08 subaru legacy, but i can't seem to find any. Does anyone know if i would be able to fit a grill from a different year (say maybe a 06 or 07) onto my 08? BigBad
BDII customizes grills. I believe he was working on an 08 version. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74324&highlight=BDII+grills
firepyro515
I've already contacted him, but he doesn't know when hes going to get more in, so i was looking for a way to get around the whole waiting thing
firepyro515
As far as i can tell, the actually grills themselves are structurally and physically the same between years (ie. the parts where it connects to the bumper and the clips and all that jazz) not necessarily what is on the front
BigBad
I thought the 05 and 06 grill outer shape differed slightly from the 07 and 08 grill shape. I could be wrong but BDII should know as he has worked with both.
biz77
Oh man, I thought I was coming in to see a nice new Jenn-Air or Weber grill. Grill's are what you cook food on and Grille's are what sits on the front of your car.
firepyro515
this is true, but i hate using that extra e. As far as the internet is concerned, if you use the e and if u don't use the e, you still get the same stuff.
Bimmer
The 2008 grill is much different than the 2005-2007, as is the bumper. The grill bigger, and it attaches to the backside of the bumper, so the only way to remove the grill is to remove the whole front bumper (ask me how I know this). firepyro515
You don't have to remove the whole bumper, its just a pita to get to the bottom 2 screws. I've already removed it a couple times. In total there are 6 screws. 2 on either side and 2 on the bottom. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22283&page=
Zoombaru
Oh man, I thought I was coming in to see a nice new Jenn-Air or Weber grill. Grill's are what you cook food on and Grille's are what sits on the front of your car. The plural form of grille is grilles. The plural form of grill is grills. No apostrophe required. Apostrophes denote possession, not plurality. -- Zoombaru [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My LGT on CarDomain (Check it & give a fellow LGT a 5-rating)
