chenc544
Saw that on the Evo X/STI thread over at Subaru News sub-forum. I think that video is from the Feb '08 edition of Best Motoring. I think they are tested the GT-R in that edition too, can't wait. I get the feeling Mitsu might need to do a mid-year hp bump to help the Evo compete better against the STI. Then again the Ralliart might do the trick for them.

Mines
just shows you how much the mitsu people changed the evo to fit a broader demographic (like the vw r32)
Bulldawg GT
just shows you how much the mitsu people changed the evo to fit a broader demographic (like the vw r32) Never thought about it that way, but I think you hit the nail on the head with the R32. Granted the EVO would smoke R32, I think Mitsu took a step in that direction intentionally. Which may not be a bad thing unless your a die hard Evo fan or tuner. 05GT Guru
You dont think the STI is goin towards a different crowd, its a wagon only now the look is less agressive.

Mos def, but the '08 STI is closer to what it was originally intended to be than current EVO is to roots.
05GT Guru
I agree that the STI def has the EVO X beat in the performance area, it was alot closeer with the evo 9 vs the 06 STI.
Mines
its sad, but it evo has become somewhat of a cash cow, since it is the only model that sells well.
