Auxiliary Input Converter on 06 Cars

Recommended Posts

Morning chaps

Just took delivery of an 06 Spec B. Very pleased with it at the moment, not had a real chance to play with it properly as yet, weather too shitty, but cautiously optimistic....

Hope this is the right place for this but......

There is a couple of things I'm a little perturbed about however, I didn't realize until I phoned Subaru USA that the bloody radio does not have a auxiliary port, I was really looking forward to getting satellite radio direct from my base unit without any of those tacky looking add on receivers that you plug in through the cigarette lighter.

Does anyone know if there is a solution? I've looked for a auxiliary input converter type device, but can not seem to find one for 06 Legacy....

Any advice / ideas would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.....

Morning UK_Sub,

Another British car nut, and in my backyard (I'm in Owings Mills), my poison is Land Rover though (D-90), but my wife would love your MGA (she is a Triumph and Aston fan). Anyway, about the stereo issue, yes, many of us have complained about it since the '05 body style came out. Try some of these threads for more interesting reading, but it seems the best bet is buying and installing a headunit and face plate from an '07 Legacy/Outback...

search for the Jazzy aux-in add-on. It will add a line level input to your radio at which point you can connect an outboard Sateliite radio tuner. As far as not seeing cords, they usually come with a hardwire kit to route directly to a 12V source to eliminate the need for a cig lighter adapter.
ignore him, he'll go away.
