leggtnut
When you do it that way, you never have to do the, where the F is that install disk. I keep mis-placing them and if I just copy the contents to my file server, I don't have to worry. I even make a text file in the directory that holds the CD key. TPLGT
So I have bascially narrowed it down to 1 of 2 netbooks: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147824 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115551 Is it worth the extra $50 for the HP? The Acer has another 100G HD but I will never even use the 60G on the HP. From what I ahve read, the Acer is decent but the HP is better 'feeling' over all. Anyone have any thoughts? Abandonhope16
I would still recommend the 1000HE. $343 (with MS Cashback) shipped from J&R. Has the slightly updated processor and is easier to perform a RAM upgrade than the Acer; plus a 9.5 hour battery.

Abandonhope16
Also available in Blue. J&R is cheaper (but Amazon has it now). Amazon has them in stock regularly. J&R is still the best deal with the 6% cashback rebate; but out of stock (you can still order and get the rebate though). It is really neat, the build quality is much better than I expected; but a little bit heavier than anticipated, still half the weight of my Dell laptop. I wasnt originally going to upgrade the RAM, but to double memory for $25 is a great deal; so I'll be ordering that soon.
2006Specb122
I'm about to spring on the Jet Black Dell Inspiron 15 for the wife. Best Buy 649. They were 599 but price went up last month. Looks like a good machine for the price of an access port. Thought about a mini but the wife hated the smaller size. (She is used to BIG things) Tried building a very similar setup on Dell's web site and the price came out to 827. They have worked out some good pricing on those pre packaged systems.
