This is too much...

Besides, Li is not a Japanese last name, it's Chinese. In fact Lee is a proper spelling of a Chinese last name anyway. This car makes no sense in so many levels.

I agree with you except that many Chinese from mainland China spell that last name "Li" because of their phonetic (pinyin) system differs from that used by Chinese people from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, etc.

I think you might have missed my point. The Dukes of Hazard's car is the inspiration for this "General Li". The name of the car in Dukes of Harzard is "General Lee". Since Lee is already the spelling of a Chinese name there is no reason to make it Li. I wasn't saying that Lee is the proper spelling of Li.

i think YOU (or YOO) missed the point... the vehicle owner is using the spelling "Li" to differentiate from the original and to direct attention that the vehicle is not original *cough* *cough* USDM MOPAR

I didn't miss the point, I know what the vehicle's owner is trying to do with "Li". I just think it makes no sense to use the Li/Lee word play. It would have been more clever to call it General Lee but use one of those fake Asian font types for Lee.

...In every episode the General Li gets out of trouble by drifting around a narrow mountain pass while who ever is following falls of the cliffs...

Can't wait until someone comes out with the General Lee VanSteinichse... a Mercedes with a Swastika on the roof...

Or simply the General Vee and use a Vdub instead ;)

The rising sun on the roof might have looked cooler with the version with the red rays, but I am not sure what the implication of the different flags are.

It also needs Ro-Jas with more radial spokes, to look like the General's mags.

And the horizontal tail lights, and panel between them should be blacked out, like the Charger's.

And a bull bar coming out of the gaping maw on the front might be cool too. At least some CF stick on winglets on the sides, or something to add black extraneous stuff to the front.

I know bright red seats are all the rage, but black seats with orange details and center panels might have looked a bit better.

And a beefy black roll hoop with side intrusion bars. Weld the doors shut, and have the targa roof hinged and also removeable to be the only way in or out of the car.
