jim1969
No need for me to search for it. I ran the PZero Nero M+S from 2005-2007. I'm about 20 miles east of you on LI. They were terrible in slushy snow. Great in dry and even wet. I went to GoodYear F1 A/S in late 2007. They were better but got very noisy. Replaced for free (but I had to pick either a Goodyear, Dunlop or Kelley) and went to Dunlop Signature SP about 2 months ago. Nowhere near as good as the others in dry. I wish I would've gotten the RE960 A/S instead of the Goodyears. Maybe the new PZero Nero All Seasons are better in the slush than the old M+S versions. I certainly hope so. BWD
Potenza RE960A/S ... do a search for it and you will see a bunch of other options too. it is a high performance tire though, and it will most likely be more expensive than other, less exciting choices. +1 on this recomendation. NutBucket
Haven't tried them with anything hardcore yet but I've got Yokohama Advan S.4s on the finacee's WRX and they seem to do pretty well in snow/slush so far.
