CapnJack Posted October 29, 2007 Share Posted October 29, 2007 I just noticed the other night that one of the covers for the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) was broken on the rear seat. This is the little plastic cover that is near where the back seat bottom and backrest join. I was at the dealer the other day for service on my wife's Outback and mentioned wanting to order one to replace it. At first we couldn't find it in the computer, so we went out to look for it on an 08 to see if there was a part number stamped in the side. (I didn't have my car or the piece with me.) On the 08, they just put a flap of leather over top of the anchor and got rid of the plastic piece. I figured this must be a good cost savings for Subaru because I found out that little plastic piece was ~$35 and there are 4 of them in the back seat . The way we found the correct part number in the end was looking through old warranty paperwork because they had just replaced another one on someone else's car. Anyone else break one of these?
