ericb49
The only Legacy GT I have driven is my Dads, He bought the one that the Owner of the dealership was using, it had 2000 miles on it, but he got it for a decent price, and I have an issue with it. The front end seems to lift ALOT during heavy acceleration. Other then that the car is perfection. Is this normal or should he get it checked by a different dealer? Thanks, Eric They're Mangosteens

John M
It's the soft springs. Under launch it causes a lot of wheelspin in the front. A set of J-spec "pink" springs will fix the problem.
Boostjunkie
I knew you'd pop up somewhere Eric... this is Paul from Cooney's. Anyways, I don't think that the LGT lifts alot under hard acceleration, considering that the chassis is tuned more for comfort than pure performance. I do find that there is quite a bit of brake dive as well too. I'm sure that a stiffer set of springs would remedy the situation.
MotoFanatic
I noticed the same thing. It's interesting accelerating at night and watching the head lights go up and down.
S4
Yeah, it's like a boat in that way.... "I can't see the road anymore...oh, there it is....wait, it's gone again...ah, it's back...."
ericb49
Thanks for the info everybody. My Dad is used to his T-Bucket that can pull wheeles under full throttle off the line, so he doesnt even bat an eye at the lift, but I'm used to my WRX with an Antilift kit and 2 inch drop.
I knew you'd pop up somewhere Eric... this is Paul from Cooney's.
PAUL!! When did you get the LGT? When I refinance the house I AM getting an LGT. You should go the the Wednesday night meets in the Valley sometime. Eric They're Mangosteens
Boostjunkie
I've had my car for exactly 3 months now. Do you go to the Valley meets at Toad's? I've been thinking about it, but it's tough with my work schedule. I'm going to be off the week between Christmas and New Years so maybe then. ericb49
Yeah, I go every once in a while, I'm afraid of the "ricer profiling" that I have seen happen, so I try to avoid the valley at night. I'll probably go this and next week though. Its a really good group of people. They're Mangosteens
