Jonny Bradtmueller
I am thinking about buying some steel wheels. They are 16" and are 5x100 bolt pattern, what I'm concernered about is will they fit over the front rotors/calipers ? I know the front rotors are 12.4" and the rears are 11.3". Does anyone know if these will clear ? The wheels are only $32.95 each which is really cheap. I am always driving in the mountains during the winter so I would like to have a wheelset with some nice sonw tires that I don't need to worry about. Also any comments on a good snow tire ?

TeeLoo
Your proposed 16" steel rims won't fit your LGT. A few guys on this forum have acquired the Nokian RSi although not a peformance winter tire. It also depends whether you want a performance winter tire (I'm guessing this would not be your choice). I have ContiWinterContacts TS790 but I don't have enough experience with them to give an intelligent opinion, they're also a performance winter tire. 2005 Legacy GT Wagon Ltd 5EAT Garnet Red 1999 GTI VR6 Black - sold but not forgotten...
