arty288
Hi, I have a '97 Legacy GT. First Turbo kicks in properly at 3000rpm. After 5000 the revs crawl thier way through to 6500-7000. No idea why 2nd one does nothing!!!! Anyone encountered this problem before and how was it resolved? Apparently this is a common issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. apexjapan
It would probably be helpful to list where you are at - this forum is mainly American, and the twin turbo Legacy GT models were not sold in America. At least in Japan, it's not a common issue. Is there any noises coming from the secondary turbo? Are there any hoses that are loose? Has there been any modifications to the car? Cheers, Paul Hansen http://www.avoturboworld.com
arty288
Hi Paul.. I'm from UK but living in Kenya.. Most vehicles here are actually imported JDM models, as is mine.. Modifications to suspenion (spacers and STi shocks - ground clearance is a premium given road conditions), then also an after-market exhaust.. although the only engine modification is a Blow Off Valve.. I have been told to check if the hoses are loose and I will have that done.. As for noise from 2nd Turbo, do you mean the same noise the first Turbo makes as it spools up? ( High pitched Whiiirrrrrr!!) either way the 2nd Turbo makes no noise - no whiiiir or any other sound... Any clues? Thanks, Arty
