champagne 2.5i
What do you guys think of the Legacy Genome exhaust on www.JDMPartTX.com? Do you think it would give any performance gains? The price seems reasonable at $800.
Guest *Jedimaster*
800 dollars is not reasonable. At all.
racerdave
I guess "reasonable" is open to interpretation. I had a different adjective in mind when I saw the $800 price tag for two cans...
champagne 2.5i
I meant as far as JDM parts, and the fact that it's STI. In retrospect, I guess it's not that reasonable considering how much flowmasters or the such cost. They do look nice though. Other than the cost, what do you guys think? Is there anything better or comapable out there?
racerdave
I know there is other stuff out there, but they're also imports, and likely to be just as pricey. Borla's supposed to have something soon, and I'm sure others will as well. Patience, grasshopper. ;)

gtguy
$800 for a pair of stainless cans is just fine. If you want them, go for it. Kevin
PGT
The std. STI dual tip cans cost about $1200-1300 new. I looked at that same set of genomes and passed, as I have been told that they are a bit loud compared to the other STI cans. YMMV
PGT
One thing to remember with an Outback is that you will need to modify the rear bumper (read: CUT) to fit a LGT exhaust. I am sure you knew that already, but thought someone should mention it in case you didn't. ;)
Guest *Jedimaster*
If I have to pay 800 dollars for a nice set of cans, I'd rather just have a girl with a nice b cup :D Honestly though- that's a lot of money.
racerdave
I must be out of touch, because that kind of $$ for two stainless cans seems absurd...
Xenonk
well, at the end, there's no gains really, just sound and looks.. I rather opt for a set of Kansai Ti Mufflers ( www.prs.jp ) instead, but that's just my taste. Keefe Keefe
champagne 2.5i
yeah, maybe I'll wait out to see what else comes out for the outback. $800 is a lot (even though I really like the look), but I really want to do something to the outback to make it stand out. I guess for now just having the only 05 OB in my area will have to be unique enough. As far as using a LGT exhaust, I figured I could just use longer hangers. P.S. thanks everyone for responding so fast and with so much input, that's what makes this forum so great.

plunk10
On the WRX, there used to be a $895 option for ONE sti can.

Xenonk
Accessport + Downpipe with Cut out ~ $900 = 35+whp to 60whp.. that' s more worth it ;) Keefe
