Cubby pod

just got my dual gauge 60mm cubby pod courtesy of Casopolis of Casopolis Design. It is the Cubby pod II. Just took a few pictures and thought that i would share them with you.

Took me a while to wire this up because i ran everything a certain way. Copper vacume tubing was purchased instead of using that plastic tubing that came with the gauges. The Gauges are STRI X-line 60MM Boost/Vacume and EGT Gauges.

A review of the Cubby Pod II.

Everything went as smooth as butter. I used the install instructions that were on his web page which is http://www.casopolis.com/install/. The hardest part about the whole thing really was installing the cubby pod trim back to the dash. The thing was just being difficult. Like he said in his notes the easiest way to re-install this is by starting by the drivers side first then going to the passenger side. it takes a bit of patience so you have to wiggle it and use a few choice words. i had alot. But i am a over achiever. But end result : A nice product. Clean looking. The gauges fit in the cubby Pod very snug so you dont have to question them moving around. I am very pleased with this product. Rest assure people. Casopolis will not leave you wondering about things. He returns emails very quick and will help you out when you need it. So communication as far as his buisness goes and his reputation on here deserves an A++++. If any of you should happen to have any questions please dont hesitate to ask. As far as i know i am the first person to take pictures of the Cubby Pod II and post it.

Awesome pics and review! Thanks! Yes, getting the dash piece back into the dash can be fun, but once you do it once or twice its easy.

The lighting in the pictures messes with the camera. The very last picture shows the true color much better than the others. The others look grainy and somewhat of an optical illusion.... but don't mind those.

You will see that I added a lip on the bottom to somewhat shade the trip computer. It does a decent job, better than having nothing there. The trim pieces on the side hide cut-outs where the cubby used to be. With the cubby gone, there are holes on each side. The Cubbypod II was designed to cover these, and they do a good job.

Yeah i can get some pictures. Probably wont be posted until tom though.

But like Casopolis said though. The color of the Pod flows with the dash. The lip does provide shading of the clock etc.. i am very pleased with the end result though.

will post night pics.
