KRM Posted July 19, 2007 Share Posted July 19, 2007 has any one had the back up switch on a 5/mt go bad? my reverse lights stay on as soon as i shift into R. then they stay on until i park the car all night. groff Posted July 19, 2007 Share Posted July 19, 2007 might not be the switch, could be a short in the circuit somewhere too, i had that on my older durango, trailer wiring harness got spliced open on the road some and caused similar incident (just a heads up in case the new switch doesnt fix it ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pillboy Posted July 19, 2007 Share Posted July 19, 2007 My old Cherokee went through 3 back-up light switches which would cause this same problem when they failed. Finally wired the lights to a dash switch and just manually turned them on and off as I needed them. It is still ugly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
