Getting The Most From Our Sleepy 2.5i Engines...

I don't think A/C has that much of an impact, but yeah, when it is under 82 degrees or so, I usually kill it in town and open the windows and sunroof. However, having the windows open impacts gas mileage as much as the A/C does (recently confirmed by Myth Busters) especially as the speed goes up.

 

I got 32.3 mpg on 1400 mile trip with a little bit of city driving mixed in and the A/C was on almost the entire trip.

to the person who said it would just as good to swap to an Sti motor, was so damn wrong.....your looking at like 7-8gs for a quality swap

 

yo i was joking with the "little less" part, i actually have no idea how much an engine swap would be, but i would think the sti engine would be a lot more $$$$$$$$$$
