mcumeda
This is more of a model overview but it is still a good read. It mentions the hate of the wagon here in the states. I still don't know why SOA discontinued the wagon. It seems like every review of the Legacy mentions that it comes in wagon form and none seem to knock it for that. Perhaps SOA knows of this wagon hate and its' underground movement and discontinued it because the power political wagon haters have and they wanted to protect its' customers. http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/08legacy_outback.htm
ih8vtec13
I like the wagon personaly, I would prefer a sedan but the wagon has really grown on me a lot. BigBad
Love the wagon... Of course I own one so I am biased but in general there may be a grain of truth to that statement as most folks still buy sedans or SUV's

mcumeda
Yeah, I think the taupe dash would blind me or create some sort of crazy glare. Also, it would be hell to keep clean.
SWP-LegacyGT
you should have a choice of either. It's retarded that they make the decision for us.

lkjohnson1950
The point is choice, wherever possible is a plus. If they can build a silver car with a black interior, why is it too expensive or too difficult to build a blue car with black interior? It should be a simple matter of getting the right parts on the line at the right time. And , now that Camrys are built at the same factory, are they going to limit their options because SOA can't do that? I think not!! You're just jealous that the Voices talk to Me. andrew.anderson
AC and I want to buy a Legacy Wagon as our next car. We are hoping to find a good used 05-07. If we cannot we might look at buying the STI Hatch.
BigBad
I have always liked my '05's tan interior with the upper section/steering wheel in the charcoal/black combination. For one thing it flows really nicely with my black exterior.
SLegacy99
I think the all-tan dash looks like crap, and that Merc center stack looks like a filing cabinet I just puked in my mouth a little bit. YEEEUCK.
fizxman
That just adds unnecessary complications to the assembly line. No kidding. Look at the Mini Cooper. You can customize everything, and you end up with a teeny-tiny car that has mediocre performance and costs over 30K on average. On the other hand, a little more choice would be good. More exterior colors, eh? To get more choice out of Subaru, they have to sell more cars. Simple as that. When you sell more of 'em, you can offer more varieties... kinda like the Ford Mustang. Not a great car, but Ford sells a heap of 'em and hence can offer them in about a dozen colors. Wouldn't be caught dead in one, myself... but you can be caught dead in the color of your choice, at least!

Yeah, there's a dude around the corner from me who has a Mini Cooper convertible and it's not an S. He wanted the S but thought the money was ridiculous for what amounts to a useless car as far as transporting much. He's a lawyer too.

The Germans are known for their ergonomics and simple, easy to use cabins. In fact, when I think of Germans I think of ergonomics. Also, there is a difference between taupe and the above colors. I bet the material used above are a little nicer than the one used in Subarus.
