Ran consistent 1:52 lap times in the first two sessions. Then started hearing a loud clanking coming from the rear end. Had a good idea what it was.

On Friday, Jose changed my brake pads and lines. He noticed my left rear shock seal was caput. Oil lathered all over it. Seems a deep pot hole took it out.

During hard loading on the left side it was clunking badly. No tire rubbing or hitting the bump stops. It just became too risky to keep pushing it hard.

So the day was cut short. Oh well, that's tracking!!!

I highly recommend running the Road Coarse at Willow. Its way more fun and thrilling than the Streets.

I was running 95% of the time between 4th and 5th gears. Only two tight turns required 3rd gear.

Nothing quite as nail biting as holding 100 mph through Turn 8 for what seems like an eternity. That turn keeps going, and going, and going.......

Did you beat the Rx-8? Those guys have a real complex about being slow, not to mention their issue with the Speed 3 and 6 being faster (they feel Mazda screwed them). All they have to hang their hats on is the looks and handling.

My go over to the 8 boards and search for any recent suicides.

OBAMA......One Big Ass Mistake America!

the RX-8 guy was cool. he came over and talked about the cars. he seemed genuinely pleased with his RX. I did pull him pretty good on the straights but his RX did hold speed well through the long sweeping turns.

I am more thrilled than ever with my Speed3. The handling, suspension and powerband work well in harmony. Having a front LSD is really sweet. The ability to pull hard early in turns without excessive wheel-spin is great.
