tnice17
i need new tires on my 2000 LGT and i was thinking about 215/50/16. the tires i have on now are 205/55/16. i was reading in the stickie that 215/55/16 wont really be that good for daily drving thats why i want to go with 50 over the 55. does anyone know a good all season tire (215/50/16)? how do you think this size will perform? do you recommend any other size? camber
I went with Michelin Pilot Exaltos A/S on my 2000 LGT. Best set of all season tires I bought. I would highly recommend!
tnice17
they seem really nice. but how would the different size make a difference
gianspi
That stickie pertains to the 2005+ Legacy GT. What is the width of your wheels? enough zip ties and duct tape will fix anything.
camber
I'm guessing he's still on stock wheels. Which are the mesh or snowflake 16 inch wheels that have a 6.5 inch width.
tnice17
"16 in. rims (for 2.5i) only: 195/60/16 (great for snow rally or snow use) 205/55/16 (OEM sizing which is also good for some non-tarmac surfaces) 215/55/16 (oversized for the rim protection, but very sloppy sidewall handling) 215/50/16 (wider footprint used for more daily driving without harsh gas consumption) 225/50/16 (great for autocrossing, still usable for daily driving all year round)" ya i guess they can be called snowflake. like i said before, i was thinking about the 215/50/16.
